This is more than a bagel. It's our family's weekend tradition- slow mornings, hot coffee, and a rich cream cheese schmear shared around the table.
Lisbon has everything. Except the bagel we were looking for. So we made it.
After trying every local bagel and still wanting more, we had only one choice: bring the real New York bagel experience home. Celestial Bagels was born from that craving- for bagels that are properly chewy, deeply flavorful, and made with the time-honored methods that define true New York craft.

Every batch is slow-fermented, kettle-boiled, and baked for the signature balance of crust and chew. Time, temperature, and fermentation aren't details here- they're everything.
Five ingredients. Zero compromises.
Locally milled high-gluten flour, wild sourdough starter, sea salt, water, and organic barley malt syrup and that's it. No stabilizers, no additives, nothing to hide behind. Just the ingredients that have always made a great bagel great.
